Why should you need tips for dieting? It's pretty straight forward. Eat clean and in moderation.
We all know that is not the full story.
To be able to succeed in sticking to any kind of diet, there are a lot of tips to try yourself and see how they work around your diet!
Tip 1 - Have clear and achievable goals
Having clear goals when starting and throughout a diet is very important. You can't expect to look like a model after just 6 weeks of dieting or lose 10 pounds if you eat one healthy meal.
Dieting is much like sport. If you want to really see a change, have patience and be the best you can every day!
Setting clear and achievable goals from the start will help you to not steer away from your diet and make you more self-confident as you progress further and further to your goal.
Another great addition would be adding small goals, that when you achieve will help boost your confidence to make you go even further and add small victories so that you can keep track of how everything is going.
Having clear goals will aid you to stay motivated while still knowing at what stage of the diet you are.
Tip 2 - Have a flexible diet
No one likes eating the same food every day.
Would you eat your favorite food every day for the next 2 months? Well, right now you will probably answer "YESSS" but after a little bit of time, you'll see what I am talking about.
Every time you eat something you like your brain releases dopamine.
What is dopamine you ask? Dopamine is a an organic chemical.
Why should we worry about it? Because dopamine it's the way your brain rewards itself for something. So when you eat your food after a long time there is a big release of dopamine. But the more you eat that food, the less dopamine will be released. That's why when you eat something for days in a row, you will start to like that less and less.

The dopamine level decreases when eating the same thing over and over again, and with it the pleasure of eating that thing again.
That is why it's very important to have a flexible diet. Being able to eat different foods will help you stay on track, because by having a lot of healthy food choices you won't deviate from your program because of your appetite.
Tip 3 - Don't be stressed
There are a lot of studies out there that suggest there is a link between stress and overeating.
And it makes perfect sense!
How many times have you caught yourself eating way more than you needed just because you were stressed or bored? Way too many times.
For some people, eating gives a sense of comfort and happiness. That is something to avoid! Just think how many times you snacked on something without even thinking about what you are eating.
I have a question for you....
What do you think it is better? Eating a cookie every day or having a cheat day around once per week?
Let's say a cookie has 200 calories. Eating one per day will get you to a 1400 surplus of calories in a week, whereas a cheat day will most of the time get you only 1000 calories or less over your recommended intake. That 400 calories can make a big difference in the long run.
Tip 4 - Reward yourself from time to time
Rewarding yourself after some time of strict dieting is very vital to the way you will be able to progress further. It's like sport.
Do you do sports every day?
Most of the time no, you have a small day break between practicing. You need to let your body rest. That's how it works with you diet too. The only difference is the rate at which you can have a break/cheat day. I would recommend one at every ten days ,but it really only depends on how you feel and how you want do go through this.
But what do some of the most influential people in the health industry have to say?
This time, instead of only us giving you advice, we decided to get in contact with some of our favorites Instagram Influencers and ask them our question.
Here are their responses:
1.Livingwithjay_

Jay is a model and an Instagram Influencer that now has reached more then 40k followers, a performance really few can boast with. He is an incredible role model and from what I've spoken to him, he seems to be really chill and down to the earth
When asked about the theme of this article, Tips to stay motivated throughout a diet he said:
"To be honest, the best way to stay motivated when dieting is to always focus on the bigger picture. You have to have a clear goal of where you want to be at the end of your diet, whether it be to lose or gain weight. You then want to set yourself weekly goals. It is important to keep track of your progress and celebrate the small victories each week The small victories will push you to work harder and make more progress it is also important to be realistic with yourself- you have to be honest with yourself as to why you want to be dieting. If you are just wanting to lose some extra weight, you can’t expect to look like someone that is about to step on stage for a bodybuilding show. I made that mistake at first and it can cause you to feel demotivated and it will take away from the progress you are making"
